Spring Break 2010

We stopped at Kanosh and looked at thehouse where Grandpa Avery grew up ...

Spent some time with the Grandparents in St. George...
Some time on the top of Sugarloaf above St. George
Then on to Snow Canyon.

Sorry, no photos of Mel's Snow Canyon adventure.

but to fill in the blanks...
Mel and Adam disappeared into the Lava Cave in Snow Canyon, cracked open a few glow-sticks, decorated themselves, the cave walls and were movin' and groovin' and generally having a great time.  They finished up and were about to exit the cave through the main entrance and there was a group of at least 20 kids coming in, so they decided to exit the back side through a chimney.  Adam went up, and Mel grabbed the backpack and threw it up the hole.  Unfortunately, in the process of heaving it up, she got some IMMEDIATE FEEDBACK from the roof.  Next thing you know, blood is everywhere, so she and Adam decided to make their way out of the front entrace to the cave IN FULL VIEW of the huge group of little kids (we're talking at least 20 7 - 10 year olds) who are already a little leary of the cave.  As they come stumbling out, Adam, as only Adam can, says, "There MONSTERS in there!!!"  Nice.  It's not often that you can "scar for life" 20 kids at once!  Mel does her best to reassure them.  who knows how they'll grow up???

Then, it's off the the Instacare for a couple of staples in the head...

Next day, lunch at the Emerald Pools in Zions.

Success at the Upper Pool (Adam can fill in the details)

see ya later.
